An artist that is similar to mine is Keri Hilson. Keri Hilson sings also speaks to her target audience about things that they might go through but Keri Hilson targets a smaller audience which is women while my artist target is the same target audience which is females. Keri  Hilson sings to her target audience like she is one of their 'girlfriends' giving them advice about their problems. Similar to my artist who is talks to her target audience like she is friends with them and understand what they are going through. With Keri Hilson single breaking point.

 Single Cover

On the single cover, you see her in normal clothes with the picture being black and white looking sad and a bit vulnerable. This shows that even with her 'bad chick' image she still has them same sad emotional feelings like everybody else. It shows that she is just like any other woman. This is similar to my artist because on the tour poster the image is in black and white and the artist is looking sad and vulnerable. The artist is too wearing normal clothes to seem like she is just like her target audience. The feature that makes the poster look like it is targeted for females is that the writing is pink and black which are feminine colours.

 Video - Breaking Point

In Keri Hilson's video you see her gathered with a whole lot of women walking with her, which looks like all of the women are all united together as one. This shows that she thinks that all women should come together with her and unite to fight bad men, like a cult or protest. Similar to my artist but jet subject is broader. In my music videos it's about not being afraid of who you are and letting people know that they are not scared of the judgements. She also brought a sense of community by having people from the public in the video to feel a sense of connection cult. It could also look like a protest because of the white boards with the writing on which was as similar style to Bob Dylan.

 Even though there is only person holding the boards, they still seem united together because of the white boards also the words follow the lyrics of the song which makes the people with the white boards connect with the artist.

Another similar artist is Joss Stone. Even though her songs are quite soulful, her album cover is arguably similar.

Album Cover

Joss Stone's CD cover looks very artistic but it shows off her personality with the different colours all over her body, like she blends in with the wall. This also shows her personality because there are 70's symbols painted on her, which suggest that she like the 70's era. Similar to my artist CD cover, you see my artist pulling many faces which shows her personality. This shows that even though she has a sad, slow single there is many more emotions on the album, it is not all sad songs on the album. On Joss Stone's CD covers most of the colours are feminine with pinks, purples, orange and more. Similar to my artist CD cover, it has feminine colours which is pink.
